I need debt consolidation

I first encountered a portion of my debt at a young age. I was 18 and had applied for a student loan in the amount of 2000, which I have deferred countless times due to financial difficulties and off and on schooling. I have probably paid over 1000 dollars to this debt but unfortunately the last two years I have been deliquent on my account due to a variety of personal circumstances which has led to missed payments and increased interest which now brings my student loan debt amount to 2700.00. I just began paying 125.00 a month automatically to the Student Loan.
I also am knee deep in credit card debt with a very high interest rate. To date I owe 5000.00 I pay 350 monthly but unfortunately with an exorberant interest rate it is taking me a long time to catch up.
I really want to become debt free and start a new life but I need a little help. If I could consolidate my debt and make one monthly payment with a resonable interest rate I know I could accomplish this goal within two years.

within a few days a counselor will call you to discuss debt consolidation or settlement. They can also point out some reputable companies. Ask them any questions you might have, they'll help you out.

Daniel, your credit will surely improve after consolidating the debts under one repayment plan. A counselor will call you shortly for framing your repayments and talk with the credit card companies. He will insist on lower interest rates from the creditors and waive off the extra fees. You have realized this at the right time. Everything will be under control. :)
