If LVNV has your file, debt validation by LVNV should not be a problem. People who mostly deal with LVNV face problems because the collection agency does not have proper information to give. I believe that you sent your debt validation request through certified mail and return receipt. This will be an important proof that you made the contact with the company and requested information about the debt before paying money. You have to be sure about the company who is doing collections and that they will be posting it towards your accounts.

i do have a court date coming up soon for this account with lvnv/wolpoff.. so i did finally send outa dv letter.. i was just curious of the chances that they really have all the proper info or are thes peopl just hoping for a default judgement?. ive been reading alot on this company and i dont see why tehy would waste their time filing suit if they really did not have all my info..

How long has this been going on with LVNV? You say you have a lawsuit,but they haven't validated? I have written numerous letters to them and they have not validated yet,but pass it around to their other agencies. Did they send you a letter for payment,then say they were taking you to court? I guess I'm confused!...Karen

well im not even sure when lvnvtook it over i prob got letters but didnt even look at them.. its from an old cc account that isnt out of the sol yet.. then i got a letter from wolpoff about it .then teh following month got a summons for court.. but until coming in here i didnt even know what dv meant or my rights ..but ive read alot about these 2 companies and wanted to make sure they had my account and all the amounts were correct and such..i do not want to take a default judgement on this at all
