behind bars? if the amount is so large can i make a promisory note to installment ? i heard that there are no people get behind bars for debt.

Depending on the loan and state you live in you could be charged the intrest, it could stay on your credit report for up to 10 years. You could be sued, your wages can be garnished, you will have to deal with creditor and collection calls. You becon credit score will be lowered significantly.

I have this REal Estate Dev't Project i'm wanted a financer/investor but they offered me instead a loan w/o any collateral or co-makers but onlly agreement papers from his layers.7 years is the scheme. if i fail to pay in 7 yrs. let's say i didn't expect bad things happend in the business....

It sounds like you are trying to scheme somebody, and it is true there is no debtors' prison in the United States, that isn't to say that other countries wouldn't put you in prison. It's also possible to be put in prison in the United States if you are trying to defraud, which is kind of what it sounds like you are doing, saying things like scheme and layers.

Like Amy said,there are no debtors prisons,but you can be sued,and issue a judgement against you. I'm not sure how real you are here,if you have real estate,they'll just put a lien on you holdings.The whole thing sounds like a big,old bogus scam to me...Karen
