receipts

i paid a debt in full and was given a hand written receipt, upon my request of an appropriate printed receipt with the account number and informetion i was denied, and told it would be mailed to me. 3 days later i had not received the receipt and went to the office again to request a receipt of payment, and was treated rudely and was denied a receipt again, what recourse do i have

Welcome to the Community :D What does you hand written receipt say? If is has all the info you need,you are probably ok. I would send them a written request,certified,return receipt,and state these facts to them.Keep calling or writing,maybe they will get sick of you and give you what you need-I have tried this,and it worked for me...Good Luck...Karen
