Fidelity Reserves Corp.

I was wondering if anyone else around here has use them or heard anything about them-good or bad.
But especially anything bad!
I'm feeling pretty paranoid about all this loan consolidation stuff and I want to be sure I'm not going down another bad road here, before I sign up.
Thanks, I'm working hard every day at trying not to be any dumber than I have to be!

First of all,you aren't dumb! I personally haven't heard anythin, still trying to find out some info about them. Are they they ones who called you as a result of your becoming registered,or did you find them on your own?...Karen

Hey Bossy,
First of all, thanks so much for always being around with an encouraging word. I will say that I finally feel like I'm getting a plan together and am doing something more productive than kicking my own behind over this.
Fidelity Reserves is a company that I found when checking out the gazillion online debt consolidation companies out there. I tried to be smart and go with companies that were referred from this site but now days later, I can't say for sure that I didn't find FRC some other way-it's all a blur now.
I'm very attracted to the FRC plan for several reasons:
1) it's many months shorter than the other one offered by the other company I talked to- fee percentages are about the same
2) the counsellor at FRC that I talked to really connected with me and I believe she was telling me the truth about the program (But how does anybody reallllly know when you're talking about personal finance issues to a stranger on a phone anyway?)
3) she figured everything for several different loan amounts, not just a big dollar amount that would make me end up with a $400 plus payment and was very helpful
4) the numbers seem to add up right with their fees and everything so I can't find where they might be sneaking in hidden fees on me and
5) they do everything through an attorney. I'm assuming that this is a good thing and would like to know if it's not.
If I could just get some feedback from someone who's used them I would feel better but I don't know what else to look for with this kind of thing. I can't find anything good or bad on them from the Alabama BBB - it says the company's info is being updated, so no help there. I don't know, is that a bad sign when there's NO info on a company?
I'm going to call the first folks back on Monday and see what happens when I ask for a smaller loan amount. That will at least give me a comparable payment amount to factor in to my decision. Other than that, I have no great ideas for choosing the right company to help me out of this mess.

PS- I like your cat-in-a-helmet picture. Can't see my feline boyfriend Spanky letting me get away with that though.. :-)

Had a slap-my-forehead-moment there, sorry!

I did some research on them and they are menbers of USOBA. Their web site fidelityreserves.com also show they are affiliated with UCAN and they have trained financial counselors as well as debt arbitrators on staff. They also have 0 unresolved complaints with the BBB.

Fidelity Reserves Debt Settlement Company
I put 4 credit bills in the hands of Fidelity Reserves in Sept 07.
They have settled 3 of the credit card bills and we are working on the fourth. I have had no problem with them and they have always been able to answer all of my questions. I like the fact that they provide a bank for your money and you don't have to save it yourself. I hope everyone has the great service that we have had. There is no way we would have paid off 3 credit cards in this amount of time.
being sued
i have been with fidelity reserves since 2007, i am being sued by 2 companies in my plan, i ask questions of what to expect and the reps are no help, they are very short to be exact, i was not prepared for this, i make all my payments, so if anyone out there knows please respond

I hear they are closing shop and worked illegally in a lot of states. Tell them you want a full refund or you are going to the state AG, and they will refund your money.
