I too have been harassed by Simm Associates the same way by Ginger Wheeler :evil: . She called my work repeatedly even AFTER I told her not to call my number again. Told her I wanted validation and she got ticked :x and refused and said, "Oh are you refusing to pay the bill." I said, "I'm not doing anything until I have validation in my hands." She said, "Oh, so you are refusing to pay this bill, perfect, that's all I needed." Needless to say she hung up on me, because I read her the validation points needed and boy did she get mad :evil: . I have sent a letter of validation to them. So, we will see what happens next. :?


Simms was bothering me also, the woman kept just saying it's only $260.00 but she would not tell me who the creditor was or anything other than demanding payment and acted like the fact that it is only $260.00 it really shouldn't matter who the creditor is...well it matters to me. I haven't heard from her in months as for the DV letter not a response either.

In case, the creditor is known for which these collectors claim to collect for (though they haven't validated the debt yet), it will be perfect to call the original company and get the status of the file. They may accept your payment arrangements and you won't need to deal with the collectors. If everything is mysterious and the collector forces to pay them without any documentation, don't let loose. Your legal rights are there and you need to use them thoroughly. Well, this may be the perfect time for me to refer to some laws mentioned in the FDCPA.

Hey Jeff, I was reading your posts the other day in the Paul Kupferstein thread when you were making rounds of questions and answers with the poster there. Amidst serious conversation, how do you manage to be humorous? :) You make me laugh when I read you in the Pub. I was LMAO on this
