i had a american express card and now they want to presue me and iam on ssi and i cant pay it all at once. i onw them 2,000 can you please help me

Have you tried working out a reasonable payment plan, I know SSI is only $603/mo. And if they do get a judgment they can not garnish your check.

Does American express have some programs for people on financial hardships? If they do, you might qualify after showing them your documents.
