Does anyone know if MTE Financial Services owns Paycheck Today I saw that on another thread.

I don't recall where I received that address from but when I sent my letters I sent them fax and email. When a rep from MTE Financial Services, Inc d/b/a PayCheck Today replied he told me to mail my payments to this address:

Paychecktoday
515 G SE
Miami, OK 74354-8224

voice 1-866-756-0600
fax 1-800-671-0131 or 1-866-344-9701

email customercare(at)paychecktoday.com

I hope this helps.

It's not so much that MTE owns Rio Resources or Paycheck Today as that these companies pay the Miami Tribe a fee to pretend the tribe is making loans. When the Miami Tribe got shot down on a deal to buy land outside Kansas City, declare it part of their reservation and open a cas ino, they started whoring themselves to payday lenders instead. Three different lenders (with about ten different names between them) made deals with the tribe. These include Rio (Ten Dollar Payday, Quickest Cash Advance and a few others) out of Colorado, Paycheck Today (which used to be Telecash) out of Philadelphia and another group out of Overland Park, Kansas (I don't know the name but it includes United Cash Loans, ameriloan, 500 Fast Cash and US Fast Cash). It's kind of like the rent-a-charter thing these same companies used to have with County Bank.

The idea is that if an Indian Tribe is the lender the companies don't have to follow state laws. Second, it helps them keep playing hide-and-seek. (All of these companies use virtual offices in other states to throw regulators and class action lawyers off.) A few months ago, the state of Maine decided their model is nonsense and went after United Cash Loans. It will be interesting to see what happens there.

:? are you all saying that you have applied for loans and never received the money after being approved? that basically this is an engine for them to sell our info to lenders? i find it a pain that i can't find a way to talk to a human!
