who are these people at bass & associates?

Hello - I got the most threatening, harrasing phone call at from these people who say they are from Bass Associates and that I owed 800.00 - I was under so much stress I ended up sending them 200.00 by moneygram. When I calmed down I found your website - thank goodness! This morning I called the Florida DA, Bass & Assoc. in Tucson who are collecting info on these people for their own lawsuit and I filed a complaint with the AG's office of citizen's services, the FTC. They harassed me so that I was so rattled. Who are these people? And boy do I feel dumb wiring the money. But not another cent. I rather deal with the creditors - this was a payday loan from 2 years ago and they said they were coming after me and wanted to make an example of me. I'm assuming this is part of e-payday or cash net and I don't know how to reach them. Any thoughts? Thanks so much

I only wish if you would have found this website earlier, you would have surely not wired the money to Bass & Associates. Everyday people are complaining against this collection agency. They'll never send anything in writing about the debt for which they are doing the collections. How will you know without some proof in writing that they were the only ones authorized for collecting money? Did you read some of the posts here about this CA?

I know I wish I had found you sooner but they got me at 6:00 pm at work and I had to go pick up my father from the hospital. I was so rattled and when I finally calmed down found your website. If I'd had the time I wouldve investigated them but I was unlucky with the timing. Wish I could get the money back but with all of the lawsuits possibly pending with the real Bass & Associates in Arizona (nice people) perhaps one day I'll get my money back and so will many other people. Thanks again for answering!

Hi asinjoan, I really pray for you and hope that you and many others get their money back. These companies will never succeed with their illegal motives. They will surely be caught someday and heavily penalized. It is necessary that the legal authorities receive loads and loads of complaints against them so that they come into their action. It is obvious that they won't react on just a few complaints. Personally speaking, if you can get some legal help from an attorney, the results will be quicker because their is every chance of a class action lawsuit against this shady collection company.
