how do i find out about my state (MD) permissable rates of loans. I think i am paying to much for loans I have with the companies Cash Transfer, Cashnet500, and One Click Cash.

Thanks

Welcome! Here is a link that will let you know what your state pdl laws allow: paydayloaninfodotorg I am almost certain you will find that you are correct in believing you are paying illegal interest/fees with your pdls. Have you defaulted on them yet?

i first would like to thank you for you prompt response to my question. Secondly, yes i have, however the loan i have with one click was onlt for 200 or 300 me not knowing better called to make payment arrangements and they told me since they payments were returned that i owe them a total of 600 and i had the option of paying it in installments. so i did 4 payments of 150. i have already made 2. since reading this site it seems as though i shouldn't made such arrangements. should i call and cancel the other two or put a stop on them going through my bank? please help me out. thanks in advance. :?

Maryland State prohibits payday loans. Go, check with your state whether the loan companies are storefront or internet lenders. Internet lenders are prohibited from lending in your state. You are liable to pay back the principal amount only. No charges should be added on the principal if the loans are from internet lenders because they aren't licensed to lend money in your state.

Most definately put a block on your account with this company it is worth the fee the bank charges, remember in some cases this block is only good for 6 months and has to be renewed, you could also close this account and open a new one if your bank will allow this. I would also e-mail and send this company a letter revoking your authorization allowing them to debit your account.
