Hi Ambertrezona, don't stress yourself. One this is for sure, no one will come to arrest you even if you haven't paid the debts. Remember, this is not a criminal issue for you can be sent to jail. This is a civil matter and the most that can happen is to get a case against you in the court and get the payment arrangements done as per the judge orders. You may have a wage garnishment after a judgment is filed against you. Did you contact the credit union for a payment arrangement? If you have registered here for a debt consolidation quote, a counselor will talk to you about your situation.

Ambert--If you get a summons you SHOULD go to court. If you go, you can more easily work out an arrangemnent with the creditor and avoid having it reported on your credit report, or avoid most importantly having a JUDGEMENT on your credit report. If you don't show, it's automatically a default judgement-you lose.
Welcome to the forums, and ask anything. :)
