Becoming and adult and shedding teenager mistakes

I did a lot of stupid things as a kid, even into my early twenties, and now I have to fess up to my mistakes, however I find myself with a huge burden to take care of, and even more of a problem to do what I need to do to proceed with my life as I need to.
I am fully familiar with the fdcpa but most collectors seem to ignore it, so I am hoping to get everything straight here, and maybe start the process of debt consolidation, or get on the right track of paying everything off in a timely manner.
