On the brink of disaster
Date: Mon, 10/16/2006 - 19:25
Now, I have 8 total credit cards, four of them were signed up with Achieve Financial debt solutions. That was a disaster, those four cards have now hired lawyers and im not sure what to expect now. Last month I quit Achieve Financial and joined Green Path for all the 8 cards instead of just the 4. I pay GreenPath $800 a month for the 8 cards. Today I found out the original 4 cards denied Green Paths proposal. Gren Path still sends these 4 cards money per month.
Sorry for the length, should i move to mexico?

I am sorry to hear that you are going through such hard times. What specific program did you sign up with Achieve Financial debt solutions and then later with Green Path? Did you go for a consolidation plan or a settlement plan?
If you signed up for the settlement plan, the accounts remain in default for few months before any proposals are made to your credit companies. The creditors are made to feel that you are not in a situation of making the regular payments and thereby want to settle the debts. No activity takes place on the accounts until the proposal is accepted. But after the creditors accept it, the accounts are updated with the bureaus.
In a consolidation plan, payments are done every month on the accounts, keeping it current with the credit companies. Do you have any contract signed with these companies? You should call Green Path and get the updates on your file.
