Did you send a cease/desist letter?
Did your letter revoke ACH debits?
On your bank statement what is the name they are debiting your account under?
What state do you reside?
Have you checked to see if they are a licensed lender in your state?
Most online pdl's are not licensed lenders.
Yes I sent the cease and desist email revoking ACH debits. They
Yes I sent the cease and desist email revoking ACH debits. They are listed as "EZ Loans" on my bank statement. I have checked and it does not appear that they are licensed in Massachusetts.
Have you spoken to your bank
Have you spoken to your bank about this? It you revoke your ACH your bank can have you fill out an affidavit for investigation? I had this problem with Route 66 Funding and SGQ Processing, they debited my account even though I sent a letter and my bank had to investigate. I can't close my account till the overdrawn is paid since they debited the account anyway. I gave them copies of my documentation. My bank told me even if your checking account is closed if an ACH debit comes through it automatically reopens the account therefore a stop payment would be needed. That's just more money on top of existing debts. Also, a hold will not work either. Go in and talk to your bank and see what actions can be taken from their end. Don't forget to file a complaint with your AG office, FTC, and the BBB.
In your letter did you include your state laws concerning payday loans?
If not here is the the information and the link.
