Ok, I took out 3 payday loans this past year, I've had to close my bank acct because of them. I've paid off 2 and have 1 left called webpayday. I had one payment left w/ them when I lost my debit card and had to get another. I never bothered to contact and tell them this, now I'm getting harrassing phone calls from this woman who wont leave me alone even when I tell her not to call me at work. She calls I hang up on her and she calls right back! When I pick up she goes "payroll please". She says she's going to keep calling all day everyday on the hour if she has too. Can she go to payroll and force me to pay off this 65.00. I'm barely catching up on rent because of these loans. I've paid off waaaaay more to them than I orginally owed. By the time they took money from my acct, I barely had half a paycheck left!. I'm just trying to catch up on my bills then pay this webpay. They even faxed me at work! I was livid!

Wow, you only have $65 left to pay on your pdls, that is really good progress. You might want to send a revokation letter revoking their right to do a voluntary wage assignment. Although most employers won't allow the company to do this and require a court ordered wage garnishment. I would send it just to cover your bases.

Hi steelers, thank you so much for the info! I really appreciate it. Where do I get this revokation letter? Do I draft it up myself? I called payroll right after the call and they told me they would have to get something from the courts for that.

Update, I've had about enough of this company! They had the balls to fax me the loan default info . I am livid! I don't take care of the fax papers coming in because the mailroom does that. They faxed me this stuff on 10/18 and i'm getting this thing today! Im so embarassed and upset w/ webpayday. Then the fax coming in says nationwide cash. I don't get it, I'm almost done w/ nationwide cash. Wed is my last payment w/ them. This is the same company w/ dba's. Which means I took out 2 loans from the same company, maybe the 3rd one also was with them. I'm ready to ring this rep's neck seriously. Who knows how many plp at work looked at this before it got to my inbox. I'm ready for some legal action if anyone has any advice. I still can't believe they did this!

ok, update. I'm done w/ nationwide thank goodness. Now this webpayday that i mentioned kept faxing papers to me at work which just infuriated me. The last month was last month. They have stopped and i haven't contacted them. The last went went up from 400 to 600 from this so called rep from the "fraud unit". I will contact them to find out exactly how much i took out and how much i've actually paid so far. I'm hoping to be able to get a refund for the interest. I had to close my bank acct because of them and owe the bank also. Plp here have inspired me to get a refund. Didn't know it could be done. the faxes coming in say Nationwide but i know this has to be webpayday also. They are just too sneaky. Their debits would come up under ambassador in my bank acct. I don't want this to be on my credit report, so i will find out what the heck is really going on. I'm in NY and the fax letterhead says NM, I know pdl's are illegal in NY, so if anyone can shed some light as to what i can do it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Have you filed complaints with your AGs office yet? If not do so, and do you think you have paid back at least the principal? If so, they are illegal in your state, stand your ground and cont. to demand they mark you paid in full. And don't worry about them reporting to your CR, they are operating illegally I don't think anybody here has had them put on their CR, I could be wrong, and correct me if I am.

Hi, steelers no i haven't filed yet w/ ag's office. I"m not sure exactly how much i've paid, but i know it's waaaaay over what i actually took out. This ambasaddor financial was debitting 180.00 biweekly from my acct for a while. I knew i had the pdl's out, so i didn't question until the payments wouldn't stop. I tried to get a trace on this ambassador financial from the bank, but they couldn't give me a name or number or anything. so i closed the account. I'm going to call nationwide and see if this is the same darn company faxing me. Their address says they are in NM. plus i think it's the same rep who has been calling me from nationwide that i set up this pament plan w/ webpayday. Other than that i haven't had any other pdl's calling me for anything so it has to be them. They have since stop faxing me unless i haven't gotten them yet. I will ask them to mark my acct as pif as well as nationwide unless they say i'm not done w/ paying, then my ghetto side certainly will come out. I need some kind of legal proofing for pdls operating illegally in NY if anyone can find so that i can fax them. Thank you.

ok, i'm really confused now. I definetly know these pdl's have several dba's. I know i took out 3 plds's. One was in the UK which is paid off on time and no problems w/ them. I had a company by the name of ambassador debiting almost 200 but couldn't find a number or address for these plp, nor could the bank. So i close the acct, i paid off nationwide and the debits would come up under langhorne law (i'm not trying to start another thread under this company, i regret it the 1st time) so i all nationwide just now and ask them what's going on and the rep tells me depending on the bank it would be debited as either langhhorne or ambassador. So these guys are both from nationwide who have been debiting my acct since June for the same loan! i tried to get some info as to my loan from the rep and i kinda got the feeling she didn't want to answer specific details. I thought i had a loan w/ webpayday, but no. I know my fault i should have kept details of these things. I've had this same loan from nationwide for 400.00 on 6/06 and still had been paying since last month. When i had citibank the debits were ambassador now i have another bank they were debited under langhorne. Oh this company owes me waaaaaay too much money!

I took out a loan for 300.00 with a interest rate of 45.00. I have paid over 600.00 so far because I was unaware of how they calculate the interest every two weeks. I just assume they would take the full amount which would have been ok because I had enough in my account to cover the loan. How stupid on my part for not reading the fine print. I had to close my account also. These people need a class action suit filed against them. We need to contact the Justice Department in DC.
