I need help with several payday loans

What state are you in, how many pdls, are they storefront/or internet/or both? How long have you been paying on them? There is a way to deal with them. If you want to do it yourself, or you would like to have a settlement or consolidation company work with you to resolve the situation. There are ways to handle the situation and stop the stress and gain control of your finances back.

i have 6- i have obtained them on the internet. i reside in pa and have been paying on these loans for 7 months.i would like to find some type of debt consolidation.

Dianne--Which companies are you dealing with? Chances are we've worked with them too. How much have you paid to each one, and what is the principal amount? The forum members will get you to the right information! You'll get through this better than ever.

I would suggest that first you block them from debiting your account or you should just open a new account. Then send them a settlement letter from this forum adding your info. and state pdl laws, demanding they mark your accounts paid in full. Now, they will threaten you with fraud charges, arrest, etc... but rest assured that you have not comitted any crime and nobody will arrest you. You should also file a complaint with your state's AG office against each pdl company.

Dianna, Contact you state Attorney Generals office immediately. Payday loans are prohibited in PA the same as WV. You even have a lower interest rate than my state on normal loans. Ours is 36 percent yours is 24 percent. You have paid well above what you should have 7 months every 2 weeks. The Attorney General will want to know these details since it is illegal in your state. The payday people will threaten you. But who knows the law better in your state than the lawmakers? Good Luck Kyside38

Many of us are in the same boat as you and feel your pain. Welcome to payday loan double hockey stick world. These people pray on the working poor joes like you and me. I got caught up with these predators myself and someday I will get out from under their thumbs but honey I ain????????t sweaten it anymore and neither should you. You didn????????t do anything wrong and the sherriff will not come after you if they have threatened you with this scare tatic. I had to close my bank acct and open a new one and I recommend that you do the same thing also get your phone number changed if you can then the jerks can????????t call and harass you, NEVER ever give out your new information not even to your dog. Unfortunalty these people are ruthless and may call your people who you put down as references, I know they called my family and my neighbor but only once I think as no one has said anything to me that they have called again. I used this board to locate my 4 PDL address????????s and I send them money orders every month for $10 each, that????????s the best I can do. Use this board and keep posting away. Good Luck

I suggest you do what kyside38 said and to file those complaints with the PA AG's office.
