I have more money due than I can afford to pay. I have no recent debt, it is all old, but I do need to rectify the situation. I want to improve my credit, and get all of the collections/debt paid off so that I can be comfortable and not living paycheck to paycheck and barely scraping by.


Welcome to the Forums :D Congrats on wanting to take hold of your debts and get out from under the stress! Since you have registered, someone will contact you about your options with credit counseling. They will discuss options such as consolidation, which lumps all unsecured debts into one monthly payment, with alot lower interest. If you have any questions, feel free to ask....Karen

Have you called your creditors and let them know that you are interested in paying off the debts. Tell them that you are having some financial crisis, but at the same time, you want to clear off the debts also. Request for some arrangements so that they get their money back and you are able to improve your credit a bit. The negotiations with the creditor will not be an easy job. If you need professional help anytime, talk to a debt counselor. He will make your way easier.
