Fraudulant/Threatening Collection Tactics

If you are sure about owing nothing to Nationwide Cash, then there is nothing to worry about. I can only think that Mr. Fulton has the wrong contact and he is trying to reach someone whose name is similar to yours.

I will call the supervisor of the company and tell about this problem. If there is any debt they say you owe, how will you pay without any documentation given by the company? The calls must stop otherwise tell them that you are contacting your attorney general for this.

Vid, you need to file a complaint with CA's AG office. When they came out with their cease and desist order against these companies, even though you never took out a loan with them, but say you did, CA AG's office ordered them to forgive the loans. So even if you did have a loan with them they aren't allowed to collect on it.

Also forgot to add they were ordered to refund the CA consumers who had loans with them.

Is that any legal action against Nationwide Cash because of which they were asked to do a refund to people? Sorry, I don't know.

It is illegal for this company to be doing this, they were given a cease and desist order not to operate in the state of CA by the Ag's office. They know they can't operate there because they have it listed on their site they do not loan to CA consumers. A complaint needs to be given to the CA AG's office to notify them of the violation. That is a pretty serious offense, and they could possibly face even more fines.

This is completely incorrect. Most of the people on this site dont owe any money, yet have ruined credit scores from companies like this.
If they know your name, place of employment, they know your SS# and have or will hit your credit report.

If these jerks are calling it is very important to get to the matter sorted out, with proof that they have removed your names from the system, and wont be selling your information to the next agency.

Guest, you are correct, that is why when my accounts were settled I demanded it in writing and so did the AGs office. It is important that when the matter is settled to have them put it in writing.

Guest, I know what you mean when you highlight my sentence. At least, I should be assured that nothing wrong will happen when I don't owe anyone. But it is sad that some company will sell my personal info for making easy money. I don't despise the fact that there should be proof of everything. When I said earlier, I didn't think to the extreme whether someone can hurt me.
