Paying but still getting threats?

Franklin Collection is trying to scare you so that you send them the full amount. They are feeling that too much time has been invested on your account. Don't get scared. Your making the payments is very important. Do you have any document from them saying that you will pay in this way? That can stand as a proof if they take you to the court.

No every time we try to call them we cant get through and when we write they just keep sending a revised bill saying pay in full or legal actin will be taken.

Each revised bill shows the amounts you have been paying right? your balance is going down right? If so keep paying and ignore their empty threats, just focus on what you have to do each day to keep your head above water and keep posting here. Good luck

Yes it does go down but doesnt show what was paid but i am keeping track of that with checks. I was just scared to death cause its the first time it was threatening. ill just stop picking the phone up...lol...thanks a bunch yall you helped me feel better.

Keep everything noted so that you can dispute any entry anytime if needed. Some companies try to misrepresent the files.

I sure will. I would love to ask them if they can pay the full amount of their bills at times...lol

Here is one fact, you are receiving SSI, and they can take you to court and get a judgement, but the can not garnish your disability check for this debt. So just send them what you can, I just don't know how you have been surviving paying them as much as you have been.

It sounds like you are doing what you can to resolve this debt. Excellent! Just keep sending in the payments.

I have a couple medical bils that send me letters every month. They do sound threatening, but I send them the same amount every month and have never been called about the payments, served any papers or anything. I get the impression the form is kind of standard. I just keep the money flowing, watching the balance drop and know that I will have them gone in a few more months.

What happened was I was visiting family in Mississippi and I live in Illinois and well they wouldnt pay for an E.R. visit that I HAD to have. My girlfrind and I live with her mother right now because we are both in school and I help her some and my girlfriend can really stretch a buck. She is really good with the money I get. She is done with school now and is looking for work and then it will not be so tight. I wont let my bills go unpaid because we do not believe that way. It just takes some time when you dont have alot. Good news is that we got the Radiology bill paid in full. :D I thank you all for the advise and such. I feel at home hear and love to read others stories and see how they come out and I might not have answers and I am hear to listen if anyone needs me.
