Hi guys!

I've been away from it all for a little while, I missed you guys to death. I just want to say hi and I'm back now!! (did you know I was gone?)

I need to vent a bit..I had a really bad couple of weeks. First of all, my closest friends on this board know about an ailment I suffer from, and I had some serious problems with this..I have that under control right now, thank goodness. My main job has been insane, and I also am covering local football teams for a local paper, and that has been very time consuming. But the worst thing...Someone tried to break into my house. This was very very terrifying, especially since I came face to face with the guy who was breaking in. Thank God for my dog, she woke us up. We live in a nice neighborhood, a lot of kids and young families..I always thought we were safe here. I guess not.

I'm still shaky about this, but I'm back again...Looking forward to having some fun again.

Welcome back fins! I had noticed not seeing any posts from you in awhile. Sorry to hear about your scary experience. I can't imagine coming face-to-face with someone who was breaking into my home. That would freak me out for years to come. I'm glad you're okay and hope they didn't manage to make off with anything.

Hi fins, glad to be talking with you. Most here missed you, me too. I read few days back that you were having some eating problems, so I thought you might be taking rest. Even Erz is also not here since the last 15 days or so. I am not sure what happened to her. I hope she is fine too and comes here once a while.

You seem to be involved in a lot of busy things now. Take care of your health too. That is the most important thing you need to take care of right now.

It will be good to see you catching up. :) Talk to you again..

lol, Tammy...I'm going to that game. I'm rooting for my second fave team, the Colts right now..I loved them through their rotten years, like I love my dolphins. Hey..The dolphins hold the record for the most consecutive years in the playoffs, and mathmatically, it's still possible...Oh well, hope the chicago fans don't kill me or get my authentic Dan Marino jersey bloody on Sunday, and we're gonna get the number one draft pick!!!!!!!

Someone breaking into the house is one of my worst fears. The second is a fire. I can't even imagine how terrified you must have been! I'm so glad that you and your family are okay.

Yes, I've missed seeing your posts and glad you're back.

You deserve some fun. Go to that game and have fun - take your mind off everything for awhile.

Remember..Any team, on any Sunday....

The cards almost beat the bears. That's all I'm gonna say.

The bears have a supremely easy schedule. And a weak division. They are not the colts, but they will make it far in the playoffs. Evereything that should've been wasn't this year. The Redskins looked like the best NFC team on paper this year, but they suck. St. Louis is not a joke, either...And I wouldn't rule out New Orleans or even..GASP...Minnesota.

It's only week 9, folks, and trust me, I know nearly every team's schedule by heart. You know, it's sick, but I make it a hobby to figure out qb's audibles and gestures. I also know that when Grossman gestures a slant and go (taps helmet) it usually fails..Hence the 10 qb rating a few weeks ago. It's a matter of time, and being the biggest fins fan in the world, I will not accept any team going undefeated, not even the colts!!

Sorry guys, I analize it waaaaaaayyyy too far, I am seriously gonna write a book someday, you'll see.

hey Patsfan, is that you?

lol, I'm in a football pool, and when I was picking my games for the week, I hesitated over Sunday's late game. I ended up picking the Colts, just because I have to. Anyway, after this game, it's smoooooth sailing for the Colts, they will, again, have the best record in the NFL.

Anyway, I WANT the fins to lose the rest of their games. I don't know why no one gets that. I want Brady Quinn as my QB next year. If we don't win any more he will be ours for sure.

yes, I imagine they will be very interested. That makes me so freakin mad that she stole. I had a good friend who worked with me..She was head of bookkeeping. She stole A LOT of money from petty cash. I won't say where I work, but you've heard of the company, and it's enormous. Petty cash is not what I consider petty!! I felt terrible, the company trusted her with that money. What a shame

Karen,

Good to see you. We miss your posting around here too. I might be filing for unemployment soon myself but not from any fault of my own. My company is terminating one of the office positions so one of us has to go. They haven't determined a severance package yet but we are supposed to hear something next week. I'm sorry to hear the secretary actually took money from your father in law's company. That is so sad but happens frequently these days. It sounds like you have a lot on your plate but I'm thinking of you often. Love ya :-)

Thanks so much Tania- you made my day!! And thanks Mishele and Kyside- I don't have a brain left! That's how I deal with this stuff!! My son is doing a little better, I think, still have to watch him, still suicidal. Got a call from the pharmacist today, he wants me to tell him a figure to settle with-don't know what to say to that. Told him I would get back to him. I want to say give me a million and we'll call it even  ...Karen

OMG,
Fins, that is SOOOO SCARY!!! And the same thing happened to one of the nurses at work! She stopped home for a minute between patients (we are a homecare agency), saw she had been broken into and was on the phone with the office when she screamed "HE'S STILL HERE!!!!!! CALL 911!!!!" Needless to say, we called 911 ASAP and they caught the scumbag. Talk about having a heart attack at work!
I am so glad you're OK, what a terrible experience!

Take care!

Yeah, I'd like to catch the jerk. He was standing in my living room when I came out and stood right in his face. We stared at each other for like 3 minutes, then he flew out the door.

The weird thing is..I was shocked, not scared. He was more scared than I was. He thought no one was home. I just didn't understand what was going on. After the cops left was when I got scared. He won't be coming back, though.

Karen,

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Let me know if you need anything. I don't think a million dollars sounds unreasonable. LOL! Take care of yourself. I'll remind you like you remind me. I need that every so often. Fin, that is so weird and scarey! Dogs are a great asset to have. There is a reason I keep my male german shepherd in the house. He's very alert and attentive to different noises. I'm just glad that you are okay :-)

Karen--I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Michelle--Something similar happened to me that way. I had a kid in my car one night. I was taking in groceries, and when I was inside with the first load I got distracted. A little while later I went out to my car to get the rest and this kid (About 15-16 years old) was sitting in my drivers seat. I said, "What are you doing in my car?" He said, "What do you mean? This isn't your car." I said, "Well I paid the car payment last month, so I think it is!" We argued back and forth for like 10 mins. Finally I said, "GET OUT OF MY CAR!" I don't know if he thought it was actually his or someone else's car, or if he was going to steal it, but it freaked me out.
