Hi, I'm now over £30,000 is debt and my vision of owning my own home with only the worries of buying groceries is far from near. I'v tried everything, most companies claim they cannot help me because Im single and only been at my current job for 2 months.

I've been to many sites with advice with no help, this site by the way seems like the place I need to be. I did find one site with some useful links for debt consolidation Link deleted as per forum rules - Mike
which I would recommend.

I've seen many adverts on the TV claiming that they can reduce upto 75% of what you owe, can any one tell me more about this scheme.

Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the boards, many are here to offer you support and free advice. The way you posted your dollar/pound amount it sounds like you are from the UK, si that correct? If so the UK may have their own laws pertaining to debt consolidation. I researched it a bit and found out that debt consolidation may be different than here in the US because one place I read stated that it is taking out another loan to pay off old debts, if this is correct then if they check credit then that is a possibility why they won't consolidate your debt with such a short work history.

if you would please post more information about what kind of debt you have and if you are in the UK. Good luck and keep posting
