Don't do it. If a company asks for money upfront they are not legit. This board is full of people who got screwed this way.

But Wells Financial told us the same thing and they are legit, right??

I don't know...Did Wells ask you for the money through Western union, or would go you to an office?

It doesn't make sense. If you needed to pay for the loan, why not add it to the loan? $1000 is a lot, too. There are countless threads here about comapnies who asked for payments via western union...Then disapeared. This smells really funny, please be careful.

I know that my credit union has now posted warnings about this scam, they even give the contact info. for the FBI to file a complaint and warn the customers to stay away from such scams. You should never have to pay up front for a loan.

It doesn't make sense to pay money up front for a financial loan because if you have that kind of money then you shouldn't need to get a loan..

If they call you back, tell them to take the $1000 out of the $10,000 and give you $9000. Just kidding :D I had a phone call like that a few weeks ago and I told them to take the fee from what they were trying to give me. Of course, they told me it doesn't work that way.

I was wrong about the name of the company. I t is called Certified Loans. They say the 1000 is security because of our credit. They emailed me all the documents for my husband to sign and fax back. I am so unsure of what to do you all give great advice but we need the money. We are drowning and don't know how to get out of it except with this.

Holly, I couldn't find that company listed with the better business bureau, and that concerns me. Please don't do this.

You just registered with the site. A counselor will call you, please tell them about this. They can answer questions you have, and talk to you about consolidation.

So, my husband western Unioned the money (To canada)before I could tell him what you all had said. They called this morning and said they needed another 1000 and my husband told them no we wanted our money back. First they said that it would take 24-48 hours them they called him back and said it woudl take up to 30 days. I tried to go on the website they gave us and it has been disabled. What do we do now? We need the money back asap.

Sonic has the big mouth like a crocodile. Whatever goes to them, never returns. Be quick to place the complaints with your AG and the state regulator. Sonic is about to have a lot of legal problems in this country. Just report them to all legal places you can think about.

I just got a payday loan of $200 from a company called arrowhead investments but they did not ask for a deposit. I have recieved the money just fine.

i got a loan from them and defaulted because they were draining my account so i closed it. they turned my account over to another company called westburry but then they also list lts management????? these companies have so many different names it keeps you confused so you dont really know who you owe the money to. anyway this company wants half of what i owe them which is $240 on a $200 loan and they charge me $90 every 2 weeks. they said its getting ready to roll over again and then i will owe them over $500. they wont send me anything in the mail and will only accept a money gram or will take it out of an account if i will gladly give them my new bank info. yea right do they think im an idiot??? oh wait yes they do. thank god i found this web site and you guys are here to vent to!!! im so glad im not alone!!!
