I am a 21 year old mother of two beautiful daughters. I attended ITT and while in school I received several credit cards in the mail for activation. I activated the credit cards because at the time I receive a promotion on my job. Well, my employer offered me a even more better paying position. I filled out the application, went through training for the job,and was notified that the job title I was applying for will be combined with several other departments. Being in a sales enviroment this meant more people less pay. So now that I have excepted a job making $2 less than the position I had when I received the credit cards I am making less commission also. This is placed me in debt beyond my control and I am contacting your company for hlep. I appreciate whatever you all can do for me because living with my parents and trying to raise my own children is becoming very difficult. Due to the bills I don't have income to be on my own. Please help it will be greatly appreciated.

WElcome to the forums kimberly. Since you have registered a debt counselor should be contacting you soon. I think this is a valuable service because it gives you options you might not have know you have. Best Wishes KYSIDE38

Debts go higher when the expenses go above your income. Since you now have a limited income, do only those expenses that is very necessary. You shouldn't let your expenses rise without additional source of income.

You will have to restrict yourself to a very strict budgeting at least for the next few months. The consolidation payments will be set according to what you can afford each month. If possible, see if you can take some part time jobs until the consolidation program finishes. This will be helpful

While you wait for the consultant's call, go through this forum and know how others are fighting on their debt problems. Many are now debt free. You will know some of your options in this page.

Don't worry bonnerkimberly, everything will be fine. You just have to apply proper financial management and find things under control. Don't stress. Explain everything to your counselor.
