I just got through downloading my last 6 month of bank transactions onto an Excel spreadsheet and added all the credits and debits related to the payday loans. Final total....Drum roll please....NEGATIVE-$20,518

How oh how I wish I had found this forum sooner. Mind you I have been in the payday loan trap for 2 years, but only this deep for the past 6 months. I could have paid off my car with that money. I just want to kill myself.

cbigfan7, please..don't think of killing yourself. Your family and people near you will suffer. Take some time and go through your bank statements. Keep your state laws and a calculator besides you. Concentrate on the payments done by you and the legal fees allowed by your state. You will be surprised finding out how much money went to your lenders without legitimate reasons. Once you figure out your next move, go to your bank and show the calculations to the manager. Show him proof so that he can place disputes with your pdl places for taking excessive money from your account. The company will have to verify the disputes within a reasonable time. If they don't, your bank might help in getting your money back. The negatives will start coming down and this will be a good reason to bring your smiles back. Be patient and do your homework. The direction is in front of you.

Oh I know. I'll be OK. It's just hard to face when you see your own stupidity right there in front of you in back and RED. And I hired Langhorne who is doing a great job and has already negotiated a lot of my balances down to zero. I closed my checking account and reopened a new one, so they can't get to my money except through Dennis. I'm just whining and crying to you guys because I knew it was bad, but when I saw the ACTUAL figures, it's like G-d almighty, what was I thinking?

cbigfan7~ Take a deep breath. You have already made a big step by realizing how much you are spening. And you hired someone to help with this burden. Keep up with what you are doing and pretty soon this will all be behind you. I know just over a week ago I was so scared, and felt sick all the time, couldn't sleep at night because of these stupid paydayloans. Granted I didn't have in payday hell as long as you, nor had paid as nearly as much as you. But thanks to this forum, for i learned I had rights, and laws to protect me. I used those to my advantage and now I am down to $150, whiich will be mailed next week and I am done FOREVER with payday loans. If I have learned anything it is to never do a payday loan again.
