Hey guys, i'm really glad i found this site!! I've been reading and i'm just suprised at how nice and helpful everyone is here! :) Well currently i'm on a really low income, i lost my previous job and I wasn't expecting it and I had 2 payday loans out.

my question is with PAYDAY ok i'm only paying the interest fees but i was able to refinance the loan before. Well ohio's laws state i can't refinance so i was wondering if it would be wise to see if i can transfer what i paid in interest to what i owe for debt, i've paid like 300 dollars in interest fees and its a 500 dollar loan. I've read about demanding to the company that the debts have pretty much been repaid but any advice people have? :) i'm just looking to get this loan i can't pay all this stuff anymore ugh. I'm getting really stressed and i don't know what to do.

Hi Blizz,

Welcome to the forums :-) Two payday loans aren't bad at all. I know that it can seem overwhelming but you have come to the right place. Roll overs aren't allowed in the state of Ohio. I've heard that payday ok is pretty easy to deal with. They also are not licensed in the state of Ohio which is illegal has well. This can come into play for your own benefit. I would send them an e-mail stating these laws, you can find more information on the Ohio Division of Financial Institutions website. Just do a basic search for them in Google or Yahoo. If you want more specifics on Ohio laws, do a search for the Ohio Check Cashing Loan Act. I would state that they are not licensed which is illegal and that roll overs are not allowed. Ask them to put the other money to your principal and make payment arrangements on the $200 that you owe to them.

Hi and thanks for the information! Yeah they were fine but the sudden loss of my highpaying job costed alot of issues. I've had numerous overdraft fees (which i got most reversed thanks to my bank) and the payday loans which i was expecting to have paid defaulted but i have only 175 left on that one due to a payment plan. The one i worry about is payday ok whcih thanks to your information I will be contacting before i have more problems. I'm currently enrolled in debt management with American Consumer Credit, they're helpful i've been with them for a year but i'm unable to pay my balance this month because i lost soo much money to fees.

I've also had problems with 2 previous cell phone providers which i cancelled and couldn't pay. Verizon is defaulting me and apparently going to start collections for 350 dollars. Sprint i have a payment worked out its only 200 but and cingular the last phone i had which i accidently rangup a 300$ bill because of text messages cancelled and moved me into collections for the 28th of november. THey added 400 dollars MORE to the bill so now i owe 750 dollars!! 157 dollar early termination fee and 2 months of bills which i didn't use the phone AT ALL beacuse it was suspended.

Also my previous bank Firstmerit charged off an account with 1000 in overdraft fees and is forcing me to pay back, but i havn't made payments in 3 months i believe and I dont think i need to even pay this back because I asked for help not to be charged off and i owe about 800$ left to the bank. this happened a year ago due to issues with paypal.DO you have any advice on these? Is there a company that can consolidate these phone bills or maybe i can fight the charges with cingular and the bank? Thanks for your advice :)

Would you be able to enroll them in your current debt program? Verizon collections can be a bear. I had stopped paying them for a few months and turned me over to an outside collection agency. This has been several years ago and I really didn't know I had any rights. They threatened me with court and told me I had to make a payment plan right that minute. I didn't even have them verify the debt per the fdcpa laws. I really can't tell you what to do on your bank situation. I have never encountered that myself but hopefully someone can give you some good advice.

Well i've tried but I hear two sides to the story, first i can only do cellphones if they're in third party collections then the other is they dont do cellphones at all. But i'm going to try again this weekend as i need to discuss my unpayment of this month's bill lol. You can see I have horrible money management and i'm hoping to get some good advice from here :). Once i get these payday loans settled i'll be fine, i work two jobs and only make 5.75/hr at them and my second job i get aobut 8 hours a week, its really hard to find a better job. Do you think i can do this verifying of debts with cingular?
