Since is was dicharged in the bankruptcy, this company can't legally collect on it. You need to send them a copy of the proof it was discharged and then file a complaint against them for illegally trying to collect on a discharged debt. This is a perfect example of how low the collectors will go to cushion their monthly bonus.

If the collector is really into a low job, you must go through your credit report regularly. They might hit something negative in your file and you will remain unaware of it. The credit scores will severely go down before realizing it.

Which collection agency is calling you? Check them if they are licensed in your state. If they don't stop contacting you, report to your state attorney general and the FTC.
Dismissed or discharged???
Tammy and PassionHunting are talking about discharge, but the original post says the BK was dismissed.
Dismissed and discharged are two different things. Discharged means the debtor has been granted relief under the Bankruptcy code, and debts are wiped out. But Dismissed means the case was thrown out and the debts are still valid and enforceable.
If the BK was discharged, then you chould send the collection agency a copy of the disharge letter that the court gave you. If it was dimissed, then they are allowed to collect on it.
