anyone dealt with goggins/lavintman - collection atty office

i just received a notice in the mail from this group goggins/lavintman regarding a check written in oct 05 off my daughter's acct, who was 17 at the time. i was also on her acct, and informed her i'd be writing the check. she forgot about it and had the bank not pay it as she didn't remember. now, yesterday was the 1st day she got a notice in the mail regarding this and they want to add $100 fee to the $27 check and $30 fee.
they said no contact since oct. nothing has even been received from them plus she was a minor. anyone dealt with this company prior? results?

I will first check the company if they are listed with the Dept of Financial Institutions in your state. Your DA can give you the legal collection charges applicable in your state. The CA has to follow those charges.
The bank can also give you the legal charges added on this account.

TOM also told me that the balance was 820.00 from a meager 295.00 payday loan i defaulted on. he was sooo rude inthe initial contact calling me names that i just didnt deal with them anymore. havent hear from them in couple years. jerk! he strait told me that if i sent 300.00 today - which i told him i would in a money order - they would return it and NOT accept it. what a class D Jerk!
