do we(those scammed by "bayfeild credit group", as they call themselves) have any legal recourse; if so, who do we contact first?

I can know your feelings after losing trust from a company. You need to notify the Federal Trade Commission, BBB and your local DA office if any company is found to be a scam. The number of complaints against Bayfield credit group is growing everyday. Read the entire discussion here

The legal authorities will take time in going through every consumer complaint before any actions are taken against the company. This is going to be a lengthy process and everyone has to wait patiently to get some restitutions. The list of scammers is large enough. But the results will definitely be in favor of consumers.
