Is there anyone who lives in Maryland who has dealt with PDL's and/or filed a complaint with the AG?

You're in luck they are prohibited in your state, go to this link: http://www.paydayloaninfo.org/state_detail.cfm?id=MD
It will give you your state's pdl laws and it will tell you who to contact and complain to. Since they are illegal in your state, you are only obligated to pay back the principal ONLY. Don't let them tell you otherwise. If you have already paid this back in roll overs or illegal interest, demand they mark you paid in full. You may have to close your account and open a new one to prevent them from debiting your account any further.

Yes i'm in Md and i just had a PDL post as PIF on my account although they do not agree with the amount i tell them they took and are only offering me half of it back, i will settle for that as they put me so far in the hole i need some money. Although we had to sign and fax a form back stating we wouldnt not sue afterwards. I faxed only the signed sheet of the agreement back since well i had to pay a buck a sheet to fax, then they called the hubby telling him they needed ALL pages faxed to them together. Like they dont still have the originals of the agreement to just add the signed sheet to. Fill out one of the form letters on this board and fax, email, or mail to the PDL company, call your bank and see how they go about blocking withdraws. I bet you get a response pretty fast. Good luck and keep the board posted

Heather still file those complaints please with the AG. Even though you signed complaint that you would not sue that has nothing to do with the state. The state of MD can sue these people. Hopefully they can stop them from making loans by forcing them to sign cease and desist letter. WV has got 18 so far. KYSIDE38 :D
