Help/Suggestions with contacting payday loan companies

So, have you read the latest topics on Bass & Associates? You will realize the mistake you might have done by sending them money!

If you send them money, they will pocket it and you'll never see it back. When the CA calls you, use your legal rights. Make them validate the debt because it is your legal right to know about their genuine collection. Arm yourself with the FDCPA laws and draft a letter to Bass and Associates.

It is still possible that you can arrange something with the original company unless they have sold your account to an outside CA. Did you verify the latest status?

I would ask the collection agency to validate the loans. That way you at least have something in writing that shows the breakdown of what they are sayng you owe. Also, I'd check out if that's a real collection agency or not. Some PDL's say they are calling from a collection agency just to scare you into paying. Unfortunatly, being hard to contact is the business model for pdl's . . . . If you can't contact them to pay things off then your balance just keeps going up and up . . . .

Don't let them scare you..They are breaking all types of laws, and are currently being investigated..

If this is the Bass and Assoc. located in FL, DO NOT pay them a dime. You need to file a complaint with the FL AG's office. This company practices illegal tactics in collecting from consumers they will even tell you that somebody is coming to your job to arrest you. Don't pay them a dime and file a complaint.

Do as Steelers1 suggested, I did and I am happy to say that I contributed to the investigation of these ppl...

I told B & A that I didn't feel comfortable sending them money via money gram and they told me that if I didn't do it by next Friday, they would download my file to my county. The gal yesterday told me my total would triple if it went to court. They also said my husband is a co-conspirator in all of this. They did give me the whole story that I am a dishonest employee, etc. and I told them that I didn't think I was. I want to settle my debts, but I am still leery after reading everything on B & A. I did try contacting SGQ and they said it was out of their hands now and that it was at collection. I really don't want to send them money, but I am scared of having my collections going further. I don't know if I should hire an attorney or what. I have asked them to validate the debt, but they still seem adament about me sending them money asap and haven't verified if they'll send me validation of debt. I feel uneducated in all of this, so I want to know what to say to them and be able to back it up. Thanks for all the posts so far, they are helping me so much!!

Can anyone tell me what has happened to them by not sending them money? Did they get harassed further by B & A? Did they get court orders like B & A has threatened?? I am just wondering what will happen to me if I don't send them money.

I live in MN, I have looked at MN laws for payday loans...I am confused with everything I read. I am sick to my stomach with these collection agencies calling me. B & A and also Westbury Ventures....they have both made me feel quilty for having these loans...loans which, yes, I applied for and yes I want to pay back, but after everything I have read on this site, I am so very hesitant to even send any of them a dime. I want to pay back what I owe, but feel like I should have someone legal backing me or a credit counseling agency or something. If I file complaints as everyone tells me to do, what is this going to do with my debts?? The loan companies that I have them through will not call me back...I guess they don't want they're money that bad....or they want to make my life a living nightmare. I am desperate to pay off my debts, but just don't have the funds to send B & A double what I took the loan out for and really don't want them to send my account to court for triple the loan amount. None of these places will validate my debt either. Help.....I am desperate for any suggestions. God bless this forum and everyone in it!

In august I applied for 2 payday loans, and got them... found out a few weeks later that this SGQ deposited 300 into my account and was withdrawling it now... I figured well I owe it... I'll just let them take it back... well they took 4 payments of 90 dollars and then stopped taking payments... I figured the loan was paid back... well, on Nov. 22 they took a 120 dollar payment out... and then on dec. 1 they took another 90 dollar payment out... I had no information on this company or the loan... (which I never authorized in the first place) and I went to my back and requested contact information on them cause well, I was not 600 paid back for a 300 dollar loan... and had no idea when they were taking money and how much... My bank had no information... no phone number, fax number, email... or address... the bank advised me to put a stop payment on the loan which I did... today... 1/2/07 this United Processing dept, a man calling him self Ron Collins... started calling and harassing me... saying the police were on their way to arrest me for being a criminal and writing a fraud... that may god have mercy on my soul... and the legal mess I have gotten myself into... I politely asked what he was referring too... and asked that these so called loan papers be faxed to me... which he wouldn't... I asked for contact information to this SGQ4 processing... which he refused to give me... they are calling my cell phone... and my work number every 15 minutes threatening me... that I will be arrested... that I owe them another 640 dollars... on top of the 600 I have already paid... I was like you are out of your mind... and stop calling my cell and work number...

Anyone have a direct contact number for SGQ4 to talk to them directly???? any assistance would be greatful... or if you have the number to the florida or what ever state this SGQ is orignated from's attorney general office... Please help.

How did any of you solve your problem with SGQ Processing. I am in the same boat as well where I have a loan with them and want to pay off my account but they will only process a payment through my bank account(which I closed) or Pay Pal. They won't give me the information. I just wanted to know what any of you did to clear up the problem with them.

i have the same problem with sgq and they give me a number of sgq but it seems not the real one cause if they are they should know already about me and how much owe them but the woman told me to call back the so called legal dept. officer then this man gave me an account number for the payemt of 600.Sgq deposited only 300 0n my account and got 90 dollars before i closed my account >I wanted to pay them but i have to be sure that it is really them and not a scammer.please do help me victim too
