I have been trying to get a receipt from NCO since September 2006 when I paid my grand-daughter's bill in full which was $139.00. NCO cashed my check in September 2006. I called NCO on many occassions and only talked to their very rude and not speaking English representatives only getting transferred or given another phone number to call. When I called NCO to get their Corporate office address because I'm in the process of writing a letter I could not believe non of their representatives knew the address. That tells me something and it is not good regarding NCO. I could not believe the complaints against NCO getting money out of people including me knowing we owe them nothing. I hope someone can get to the bottom of the scam. I can be contacted at 510 (235-**** Account number at NCO is 1196******.

I did pay by check, but that is not the point. I want a receipt. Do not tell me anything about checking with the credit report bureau, my right is to have a receipt that this scam had been paid in full. Whenever I buy anything I get a receipt for my records. I do not know what your policies are but I see why NCO has so many complaints.

I'm going to write a letter about your representatives and the bad customer service I've received trying to get this matter resolved.

Ok...I was only suggesting that if they will not give u a receipt, that you do have your check for proof. Also, this is not NCO, this is a debt forum, where ppl discuss their debts. I think that you should contact NCO regarding this matter. Also, the reason for checking the credit report is to see if they have listed anything on there, and if so, dispute it. Then they will have to remove it, since you have proof they were paid.

I thought I was talking to NCO. Sorry about the inconvenience. Could you help me get the address to NCO's Corporate Office in Pa? I need to write them a letter and cc it to the BBB. This needs to stop!

Thanks for anything you can do to help me get this nightmare resolved. They cashed my check in September 2006 and at that time they should have issuedd me a receipt.

aurrero.johnson, you are right you have the right to a receipt, but if they want to play games with you, you're returned check which they cashed would be sufficient if you need to prove you paid it. NCO is an awful company to deal with go to (www.mycollector.com) and read about the troubles they have caused others. There are so many other CA listed and the types of investigations they are under.

Thanks for the information. They are an awful company to deal with. I did read some of the complaints against them and I was devasted. These people need to be put out of business. Another thing the representatives do not speak very good English and it is very hard to understand what they are saying. Every time I call about my receit they always repeat my address and I have not moved or changed anything in the last three years. The reason I paid the $139.00 was because I was trying to help my grand-daughter get her life back on track. Is there anyone I can contact to let them know of my complaint against this awful company. If I had known what I know now I would have never sent them that $139.00. They are scamming people and they need to be stopped. But, thanks for all your help in trying to help me get this resolved.

You can file a complaint with your AGs office, file with the FTC, and you can also go to that site to file a complaint against them. They have a recording they did with a consumer who was being illegally harassed by them, it is long (26 min.) but very interesting, they are caught violating so many laws and they even used the Patriot Act as a threat against her, and taking her teacher's license away. I got so mad listening to it.
