I did pay by check, but that is not the point. I want a receipt. Do not tell me anything about checking with the credit report bureau, my right is to have a receipt that this scam had been paid in full. Whenever I buy anything I get a receipt for my records. I do not know what your policies are but I see why NCO has so many complaints.

Ok...I was only suggesting that if they will not give u a receipt, that you do have your check for proof. Also, this is not NCO, this is a debt forum, where ppl discuss their debts. I think that you should contact NCO regarding this matter. Also, the reason for checking the credit report is to see if they have listed anything on there, and if so, dispute it. Then they will have to remove it, since you have proof they were paid.

aurrero.johnson, you are right you have the right to a receipt, but if they want to play games with you, you're returned check which they cashed would be sufficient if you need to prove you paid it. NCO is an awful company to deal with go to (www.mycollector.com) and read about the troubles they have caused others. There are so many other CA listed and the types of investigations they are under.
NCO
Thanks for the information. They are an awful company to deal with. I did read some of the complaints against them and I was devasted. These people need to be put out of business. Another thing the representatives do not speak very good English and it is very hard to understand what they are saying. Every time I call about my receit they always repeat my address and I have not moved or changed anything in the last three years. The reason I paid the $139.00 was because I was trying to help my grand-daughter get her life back on track. Is there anyone I can contact to let them know of my complaint against this awful company. If I had known what I know now I would have never sent them that $139.00. They are scamming people and they need to be stopped. But, thanks for all your help in trying to help me get this resolved.

What goes around will come around one day.
You can file a complaint with your AGs office, file with the FTC
You can file a complaint with your AGs office, file with the FTC, and you can also go to that site to file a complaint against them. They have a recording they did with a consumer who was being illegally harassed by them, it is long (26 min.) but very interesting, they are caught violating so many laws and they even used the Patriot Act as a threat against her, and taking her teacher's license away. I got so mad listening to it.
