After working through college and making over 40k a year while in school, I decided to travel, get my MBA and try new occupations. After changing jobs and being out of work for a big portion of last year, my debit caught up with me. I owe 25k to credit cards.

The good news is I have been working for 6 months making 60k a year with monthly and yearly bonuses. I need help getting started again.

Thanks
Patrick

My advice is to call the credit card company and offer your payment proposals. Since you have the money to pay them, there are some chances of arrangements by the company. If this is done, you won't have to consider any professional help.

debt consolidation will be listed in the credit report as long as you are enrolled in it. This is for those who can't afford to pay on their own. If you think you can manage the payments on your own, call the creditors.

Another option, if you want to get the debt settled, debt settlement program will reduce the total by 50 percent. Read this article on debt settlement

Talk to a professional expert. Someone from your area will be calling soon. Take his advice before making the final decision.
