Well, this tends to be a debt forum, and nobody can file criminal charges against you for taking on debt. (That is, unless you forged someone's signature to get money...)
Did a collector threaten you? Or are you just asking our input for something not related to this site? What happened, and maybe we can get to the bottom of it.
Criminal offenses each have their own SOL. Petty theft charges, for example, may need to be filed within two years. In contrast, the statute of limitations on murder never expires.

My brother has file a fraudulent deed in northampton co n.c.
My mother died in testate of said will. Prior to her death my mother did live me in charge of the adminstration of her property, and but all removed my brother from any part in her business affairs. She gave written instruction to me and asked that my brother be removed from the home. he was removed and relieved of all duties. Athough my brother did

the clerk of deeds. The name on the deed is said to be Thomas L. Brown, his name is Thomas Earl Brown. My mother was not able to make that decision and I know she did not sign that deed. Thomas then deeded the land over to his son,
under the name of Thomas L. Brown , prior to my mothers death. There is another deed that was forged in 1986, that Thomas and his lawyer drew up it was voided also. Thomas and his lawyer have a history of trying to take the property from oour parents. I was living in the home prior to my mothers demise. i was charged with trespassing and was unable to gain re-entery to my home please help.
