why would Northway Debit be taking money from my account

This is an internet pdl company. Did you or somebody else in your family take out an internet pdl? The DOD has worked with Congress on a bill which was passed to protect the military and their families from these predatory lenders. $720 is alot of money. I would dispute this with your bank, you should be able to get your money back, especially since you have been out of the country for so long.

Northway debit is Sonic. Did you have a payday loan with them? They take the whole amount at once, so if you had a loan with them, they have stolen alot of money out of your account. You need to contact your bank and let them know what has happened immediately. Also, you need to file a complaint against them with the AG of your state.

Tammy, doesn't it look like the loan was renewed every 2 weeks since Sonic/CTC/Northway make you pay it back the following pay period.

Could possibly be. But we all know how Sonic and their aka's work. They steal money and probably figured where he was in Iraq, he would be none the wiser and they dipped into his account.

Yea, that is just something dirty. I hope that he can get his money back from them.

Hopefully by going to the bank and disputing the debits with proof that he was in Iraq, this will get his money back. That is just dirty. But I would expect nothing but dirty business from this company.

Steelers, did you read the post from a Sonic employee that was posted earlier this week? It stated that we can try and have them shut down, but it will never happen. They service several countries.

I didn't see that one. They can service all the countries they want, but I think there is a good shot at shutting them down in the States. I'm going to look for that post.

They are already being stopped from loaning in several states. I will look for the post also.

ive lost a total of about 4 thousand dollars but the only one i can possible get back is the latest 720 dollars because i have to dispute it withing 24 hours and with me being in iraq i didnt have that option

Just try and get that $720 back. I think that is just awful, you are overseas risking your life in Iraq and then come home to this, I would think something could be done to help you. Did you find out how this happened?
