Consolidation is good because you will be paying your debts through the program. I assume you have opted this because you are undergoing financial problems and can't afford to pay the high interest rates. You'll get lower interest rates in the program. This is the right decision for those who can't afford to pay the minimums.

Tell the name of the company you signed with. Every company has their own fees. In case, you are unable to pay it one time, it's included in your monthly payments.

Did you check the company out before you enrolled?? Also, did they make you pay the $1200.00 up front??

the name of the company is aplus debt free, and I Have not pay them yet but the first 4 payments to the program that i make will be for the 1200 that they are charging me. And no i actually make more then the minimum payment each month I can afford theat I only didi it because I only wanted to have one payment.

Before you pay them a dime, it would be in your best interest to check out the company. You can check with the BBB and your AGs office for any complaints. Be careful, you don't want to be out your hard earned money and have negative marks on your credit report. Good Luck! :D

Please check them out and see if you can work with your creditors on your own. I worked with a different company and they were reputable. I checked them out before I signed up but I had to end things with them this past week. I'm now working on my own and having better results.

I was also enrolled with a company that didn't tell me they would hold the first pmt for 30 days, until they did. I was still getting calls and letters, and my creditors still haven't received the first payment. Be careful, some of these ppl are crooks too..
