I live in Oklahoma. I have closed my bank account and am waiting for the calls to start coming in. Today is the day that the Internet Payday Loans funds are to be deducted from my account. I am only concerned about them calling my work and the two references I used. What can I do to ensure that these folks do not get bogged down from these loan companies calling them consistently? I will take their call once and listen to their scam or what they have to offer and then it is done with. I have the Polly letter ready to go and will send them certified today - should I fax them as well. Please, I need ammo and quick until I can get these letters sent out and they have been received. Thank you very much.

The creditor will not like to hear from you about your filing bankruptcy. If you let them know about your action, they will use other ways to get the money from you. Maybe they will take you to the court before the debt gets discharged in the bankruptcy. And, not to mention they will keep harassing over the phone.

In a situation like this, you need to make your moves fast. Either you decide paying the debts or file the bankruptcy papers quick.

You need to make yourself available in front of the loan company so that they don't start disturbing your references. If they act rude to those people, tell them to file complaints with the local AG and the FTC. You also have to force the loan company talk to you only and not call others.

Oh my, I will talk them when they call. I am not telling them about the bankruptcy as I have paid the principal on the internet payday loans back and some interest. I am actually doing bankruptcy for other reasons, a medical bill for 10k and a volunteer repo for 11k along with several other lesser items on my credit report. I made this decision after trying to work out a payment plan with the creditors to no avail. Thank you for writing me back, I will take the calls while I am at work and inform my mother and father in law that they may try to call them as well - which will be embarassing. This is by far one of the worst decisions I have made besides the volunteer repo. Thanks again.

I am going through my bank statement right now from october only. I need to pull out my September bank statement when I get home tonight. Hopefully, I can hold them off for another day. If they call today, I will tell them that I need to review my financials and inform them tomorrow what I can and can not do - if this is a wise decision. There is so much going on right now, a stressful job - BIL in hospital dying of stomach cancer, which was sudden and unexpected and has impacted the family in a major way. One more item on my shoulders and I might bust. I simply can not afford to pay these people anymore of my money. $900+ a payday is outrageous while at the same time self inflicted. Thanks again.

One more thing I just discovered, I was paying a total of $1,147 per pay day, a total of $2,294 per month - equivalent to my entire monthly income. I feel like banging my head on the wall. Can I post my version of the polly letter for review so that I can ensure that it is complete prior to sending it out?
