My debits would have tried to clear yesterday and I closed my account on last Friday. How long before they start calling and threatening me?

My payday loans are internet and they were due to debit from my account on a Friday, but I had closed my account a couple of days before that. So when Friday came and the ACH's were returned, the lenders were calling and emailing me that following Tuesday.
