PARC collection agency: got wrong amount

My question is: I went to a clinic like 5 years ago, they told me it was $35 the visit, they'll send me the bill, but never got it, now the collection agency is claiming $124, they said they bought the account from the clinic, but I know for sure something is wrong, they were charging $35 at that time. What could I do ?

well, but I had one before
from an old verizon account that i opened for a friend, and the debt was exactly the same amount, it vary from agencies ?
