So has anybody ever got this response from them? And if so, how long did it take for their "Special Handling Team" to actually...ummmm..... what's the word I'm searching for?...HANDLE it! Should I keep bugging them?

You have caught their attention. Their "Special Handling Team" will come to know that you have paid so much on the account. Following the laws, they will need to mark your account "paid in full" . You may also mention that you are filing formal complaints with the DA's office if the account is not checked properly. They will be forced to do what is right. Keep pushing!

I am still going to go after them for a refund though. About $360.00 in excess interest was paid per Texas State law. According to the BBB website, it looks like they have issued refunds to resolve disputes in the past. So I guess I have a shot

Let me first say I myself am drowning in debt but from credit cards and school loans not payday loans, which is exactly how I came to find this site. My only concern here is that I have read several comments regarding Langhorne, PDL, refund checks, owing 10+ payday loans, etc. How do people allow themselves to become in debt with payday loans. A payday loan is meant to be a short term loan to help you through financial hardship until your next paycheck. That is why it is called a payday loan. On your payday, it's smart and ideal to pay your loan back from your "paycheck", not another payday loan. I've had several myself and I know several people who have obtained them in there time of need. However there comes a point where you have to stop and take responsibilty for your own actions. I do not agree to being charged outrageous finance charges and so forth, but if you come to a point where a PDL company has agreed to consider your loan PIF, why be greedy and keep asking for more? In my own personal opinion, take the GIFT GOD has allowed you (after making the irresponsible decision to get so far in debt with these PDLs) and move on. It really sounds like greed has taken over.
I have debt, believe me I have debt and I really wish it was as easy to get out of it as it was to get into it! I am not placing judgment on anyone at all - that is not my place. If there is a good and honest solution to WORKING your way out of the debt you put yourself in then that's what I'm all about. I read my disclosures and agreements when I sign them - I know what I will pay if I default and so is every consumer out there. My point is, what's the big shock when you end up paying in fee's more than you borrowed?

I spoke with someone in the customer service department yesterday and she claimed that the account was charged off and gave me a # to call. Upon contacting the next department, Courtney explained that the account was indeed paid in full, then rudely explained that I needed to contact customer Service. Okay so now I am back with customer service and was told the legal department would respond in 72 hours=
