I am tired of Applied Card Bank

Why when I checked my statement online they charged me $30 for a replacement card?
I am really fed up with these credit card companies. How could you charge me for something I never got?
And by the way, the card came later that day in the mail. A card that was suppose to be sent to me in September.
What is it can I do because this company has gotten on my last nerve. I am getting rid of Applied Card Bank, First Premier Bank, and Orchard Bank.

Just tell them that you are no longer interested in using their services. You want to cancel the card. They will ask you why? This is because they have charged you for something that is not your fault. Credit card companies don't want to lose their customers. Hopefully they will remove the charges.

Can I cancel the card even though I owe a debt on it? I still owe like $800 dollars on it. Also, how will closing the account affect my credit report?

You will have to pay the debt before closing the account.
The effect will come when you are applying for a loan. It is suggested not to close any unused account. At the same time, it is suggested not to open a new account just when the loan application is filled. If you are having a short credit history or less number of accounts, the credit score gets lowered when a new account is opened as there is no proven track record of it.
I will say, dispute the charge with the credit card company. You need to know for what they are charging $30. How are you accountable when you got the card delivered late?

That's what I don't get. I tried using the card once and the company I was using told me that the card had expired. That is the only reason why I knew the card was expired.
I don't understand that logic myself. I have been disputing charges with these people all year. I am fed up with them.

Did you talk with different people in the company? Perhaps, there may be someone who will give you the right advice. Talking to one person only will result nothing. I understand this charge is invalid and the company must correct it.

I cancelled my orchard last week and instead of the 99 yearly they are charging me 4.50 a month while I pay if off.. monthly
You can cancel and still pay it off and all the credit report says is closed by cust...

I am going to talk to them tomorrow and see what my options are and then I am personally closing the account. Besides, paying $17.00 a month in interest charges is ridiculous. But that is my plan.

To update my situation:
I spoke with someone at Applied Bank today. He told me that there was nothing that he could do about the $30 fee because he couldn't get it off his system. He told me that it would continue to appear on my statement until December 14 when the new bill came out. I pitched a fit! I am already having a bad week and they want to do this to me.
After my rant, he called his manager who said that it would be taken off in 24 hours. I am keeping abreast of this situation.

I have been told that if a credit card is paid down to a "0" balance and the consumer wants to close it, it will hurt their credit score. Why is that?
