I took out a PDL online with Cash Transfer Centers for $1300, and had to put a stop payment on it (in favor of making my house payment), and now I need to negotiate with them on repayment. After finding this site and being directed to my state's (Missouri) site, I find that they are not licensed here, and the state only allows for loans to $500 with up to 75% of the loan balance to be charged in interest over the life of the loan. With that in mind, can anyone help me with advice on how to negotiate with them and for how much? Can I set my payment terms and will they have to accept?

Use the template letter drafted by Polly. You will find all the tips of making a settlement with any loan company.

Cash Transfer Center is not licensed in most US states. Calculate all the payments you have done from your bank statements and compare it with your state laws. You are liable to pay that much only what your state allows. Cash Transfer Center will keep debiting from your checking account if you are not proactive and put a stop. They have to accept your terms because you are backed by the state laws. If they don't listen, put your complaints with the DA's office for doing illegal business in your state and making excessive charges from consumers. Make sure that you have done your homework.
