I have been TDY since april. In Early may i had a car problem which costed me over 2500 Dollars. This but me behind on certain things. Then on top of that I stopped getting paid TDY which takes care of my food and lodging. Being an e-3 in the US. Army without TDY pay doesn't allow me to pay for much...i was paying out of pocket and constantly borrowing money for the past 4 months. My government credit card bill went thru the roof and my tdy couldn't cover it. Now i am behind on the payments 3 months. This must me taken care off ASAP.

Best thing you can do is talk to your account administrator. Also talk to your dispursing office. You are on the cusp of terrible problems if you don't get that card taken care of. The Army if they are anything like the Navy will start taking that out of your pay. This is if you have an actual Gov't travel card.

If you are talking about your Star Card (the one you can use at MWR/NEX/PX) call them and talk to them. They are very reasonable and in most situations willing to work with you.

Yet another venue is Army Emergency Relief, which to the best of my knowledge is like Navy Marine Corps Relief Society. These guys can give you no payback grants or no interest loans to help you in emergencies.

I am a HM2 in the Navy (E-5). I understand how overwhelming it is because you always hear about that guy who got NJP'd by the Skipper. Don't be affraid of that. Go to your Corporal or Sergant and talk to them about waht is going on. These guys are there to help you. I know, it is what I do every day. I would rather someone in your situation be open with me upfront instead of getting blind sided by something like this with a phone call from your CC company.

If you need any other help, I will do for you what I can. Remember, your entire COC has been in your position before and they are usually more willing to help you out than you might realize.

Keep me informed of what's going on and get back with me if you need any further assistance.
