Do internet payday loan companies use SCAN and Telecheck?

Laverne, I'm sorry you're having such a hard time right now, but Steelers1 was my right arm in helping me get the PDLs off my back. She gave you the same advice she gave me. And of course the PDLs are going to tell you you can't close your account because they don't WANT you to close your account because if you do, they can't get their hands on any more of your money. Do what you want, but I followed Steelers1's advice, and I am happy to say that I don't have to deal with those ********* anymore. Thanks one more time, Steelers1!

Not a problem, I was given the same advice when I came here by other members. Laverne just wasn't paying attention to the responses to our posts. It was getting tiring anyway, I don't know how many times I had to repost the SAME answer to questions she repeated asked. And I know I wasn't the only one who had done that. If you ask for advice you are going to get it, what you do with it is up to that person.

I have used the same advice that Steelers1 has given you and not only have I got all of my PDL (except 1) behind me and paid off. I also am working to get my credit score up.......

Laverne, Once again I am sorry that you are having a hard time. dbaker is right the payday companies dont want you to close account. They cant bleed you dry anymore if you do. I think it was unfair to say we were lying. We do our best to help people. KYSIDE38

I came into the conversation a little late, but something really bothers me. Why is it when good advice is given, someone ALWAYS tries to downplay it or not believe it? If you come to this board seeking help or answers, then accept or not accept the advice offered, don't shoot the messenger just cause you don't like what they deliver. If you are not here seeking help or advice or are offering sound, constructive advice---then what ARE you doing here? Find another board where your frustration or anger or whatever it is will be appreciated, cause its not here!

I think this site gives good advice from those who have been through the experiences. They have paved the way to help others from their misfortunes. And to say that we are lying? Very unfair, how is it lying when we have had success and the support from our individual AGs' offices? Sometimes I think people want a quick fix, somebody to wave a magic wand and make it disappear. Well, that isn't going to happen, some people find success quicker than others, it all depends on how much effort and time you put into helping yourself. This site has given me support and excellent advice when I was at my lowest. And I am very thankful to the members who took the time to educate me on my mess! THANK YOU! :D

I feel sorry for laverne. It sounds like he was really stressed out and may have lashed out a little. I don't think he deserved the barage of "how dare you" posts after his little vent. Your average posts don't get that kind of attention. If you give advice - in the real world, you are going to be questioned about it and, god forbid, maybe even criticized for it. You all do a good job, but I think you get enough kudos from those you have helped to make up for the occasional critic, especially if he was really bummed out. Maybe you all felt better after jumping on his case after his vent, but it sure made me uncomfortable, so I can imagine how Laverne feels. Anyway, this is not the first time I have seen a couple of you go on and on about on a critic. I have even seen a couple of you actually go balistic. Not good! Keep up the good work, and lighten up a little!

It is a public forum, and I for one will continue to post my opinion. And if somebody finds it harsh, that is there opinion, oh well. I will not change. This is your opinion, and I am not bothered by it one bit. But I for one will no longer be responding to laverne's repeated posts, one thread now has over 150 responses because the same question is repeated. And she was told to reread her own threads because the answers were there.
