My story is i have medical bills unpaid... And we my ex-husband and i split i had 3-4 credit cards i couldn't pay even the minimum i had two jobs it went to collections and now as i have gotton on my feet they want large lump sums only!!!

Every individual has his / her own credit history. You can combine the debts under one payment plan but the credit report will show the debts individually.
Did you jointly signed on the credit card debts with your ex? If a divorce decree was prepared, the debts might have been distributed individually and you are obligated to pay your share only. You may want to check that!
