just got a loan from one step cash..is there anyone who had a good experience with them? is it true you will get charged a 25.00 late fee if you let them just take the 90.00 out on the first payday?

Unfortunately, NV laws do no good to borrowers. There are no caps but the state allows a repayment plan. So, it is the pdl that fixes the charges.

Note: Rollovers are not specified in NV. Lenders cannot extend payment period beyond 60 days after expiration of initial loan period. Did you call the company and know their terms?

You took the loans in NC, right?

Payday loans are illegal in North Carolina. IPDL companies are prohibited from lending the borrowers in NC. You should report this company to your AG for lending in the state that restricts payday loans and for making additional charges.

Regulator: North Carolina Attorney General (See also Commissioner of Banks)
Address: NC Attorney General's Office 9001 Mail Service Center Raleigh, NC 27699-9001
Phone: (919) 716-6400

Pay back the principal amount because you took the loan from the company and get off their back.

How much you have the loan from One Step? That is going to be the principal amount. They are legally not allowed to put any fees since they have offered pdl in a prohibited state. If your account is not safe because One Step has the info, ask your bank to block their ID. Tell the lender that you know your rights and would like to return the loan principal without spending anything on the fees. If they pass threats on you, report to your state AG.

Since you are in NC and you have got the loans there, you are liable to pay back this amount only. The lenders cannot make further charges on these amounts. You will feel better in paying at the earliest and get off their back.

Once you have paid, get the "account closed" letter from the lender.
