I got into a little trouble w/ credit cards when i graduated from high school and when i was young a dumb i put somethings i my name for a boyfriend and he never paid the bill and now im stuck w/ the debt. im trying to have a house built in the next couple of years and i need to clean my credit up, also they are about to start garnishing my check and i have bills to pay and a child to take care of and i cant afford that so i really need some help

You've come to the right place. Have you ever considered debt consolidation? It's a program that will let you combine all your debt into one low monthly payment. Sometimes even eliminating the interest or late fees. You should be getting a counselor in your area calling you sometime soon to go into more detail and explain the benefits of the program. This can sometimes help avoid garnishment also.
Also, have you taken a look at your credit report recently?
