Follow what Kyside said. She is good with the laws of some states and has done extensive research on many pdl places. When you have a question, post here, members will be glad to help you.
How much is your total debt? After you are aware about the laws and the charges legal in your state, go through your bank statement and find the latest position. If you find the balance can be arranged on your own, call the pdl and propose your payments. They may work with you as you show your willingness.
If they don't adjust, find out if you are able to afford the consolidation payments. Give preference to consolidation first. Lowest plans are done in debt settlement. The plan is most affordable to people in huge financial mess and can't afford any other debt management programs. Know your situation and the pdl status before deciding any of the programs.
