I believe they can press charges if they think you are intentionally hiding it from them. Eventually they will find you and get the car. Just be honest and let them know where you are so they can come and get it.

You need to call them..If collection agencies can skip trace, so can the bank..They will find you through your social security number. You don't want them to take your car at work. Call them.

You need to call them and see if you can work something out before the physically repo the car. While you may have moved, the might try to come get the car while you are at work. Also if you work something out before they get the car, you will not have to pay as much to get it back. Most banks will make you pay the past due charges, plus the cost of having to repo the car

Just because you moved, that will not prevent the bank from finding you. I am sure when you filled out the application it contained your ssn and your work information. I was in the same situation about 2 months ago. Thankfully the collection agent was really nice and we were able to work things out. After working things out we began a discussion on what would happen if I did not make arrangements. Trust me, they will find you... They will use every legal means necessary to repo the auto. They will contact your place of employment any person you used as a reference, the DMV and since they hsve your SSN, How hard would it be to find you. The longer it takes, the more costly it becomes for you. You might place in the position where you can't get the car back.

And once they have the car back, they give you like 10 days to pay back the past due amount, plus the current amount. Then you will have to pay the repo company the cost to repo and store your car. So be prepared

In Illinois, at least, it can be a Class A Misdemeanor to "conceal mortgaged property."
They may not know where you are for the time being, but you would be considered a skip, and they have a whole "skip tracing" department designed to find you.
With time, they will find you. And keep in mind, that every 30 days you have another payment coming due. The longer you keep the car without paying for it, the more you will have to pay when they finally grab it.
It would be in your best interests to call them with some type of arrangements and make some effort to get back on track with your obligations.

Call them and see if you can work out an arrangement. Some companies will let you have some of the late payments added to the end of your loan if you can pay a portion of the late payments. Make an arrangement that you know you can handle financially and stick to it.
If you find that you can not keep the car, then you still need to contact them and set up arrangements for them to pick up the car. Trust me, there is nothing worse than having a repo at work. Several years ago, we had a truck that we could not afford to pay on and even though we were not in default we made arrangements to have it repod before the charges got any higher. They agreed to pick it up on a specific date and time in a parking lot about 30 miles from home. It allowed us to save a little face not having nosy neighbors tongues wagging.
Good luck
