I just disputed 16 negative items on my credit report. (Yes I have a few I'm dealing with). I managed to get 3 of them removed and several others are still being investigated. However, several more were just updated. When is a good time to submit a dispute again? Is online or a letter better?

A letter will always leave proof of your part of the actions. If you send the dispute through certified mail and return receipt requested, you will be able to prove the date on which the dispute was placed with the CRA.

Re-dispute an item if you are not satisfied with the results. If you have proof that your dispute is correct and the CRA is forcefully reporting incorrect entries in your credit report, you have the rights to take legal actions against the CRA as well as the creditor reporting it. Consult an attorney who deals with lawsuits of FCRA violations.

I also have several things that I am disputed. One of them being a CA that is no longer handling the acct and they are still reporting on it. While I was in the process of getting that taken off, the CA that has it now put a new one on there. So it really didn't do me any good to get one taken off b/c they just put another on to replace it.
