Hi everyone!
I have been reading the forums and I really need someone's help.
My husband is a compulsive gambler and has gotten us so far in debt that it ain't even funny! Unfortunately for me, my name is on the accounts that he has gotten IPDL's with. I know for sure he has loans with GenevaRoth (sp?), CashNet500 and Ameritrade. I don't even know where to start to try to clean this up.
Please help.
Anybody know the laws for Mississippi?
My husband and I are going through a seperation but in order for me to remove my name off of these accounts I have to clear up the negative balances.

The companies you have the loan with are frequently talked here for doing unauthorized debits and charging more than the state laws. You need to check all the payments done on the accounts and find the latest status. If you have paid the loan in full, contact the companies and get your account marked closed. You should get a "paid in full" letter in the company's letterhead.
This is not going to be an easy work as I say here. Be informed about your legal rights and follow the state laws.
